Answer: 13 × 9 = 117


2. (i) 1 more than 12 = 13 × ___

(ii) 13 times ___ = 65

(iii) 8 times ___ = 104

(iv) 1 less than 27 = 13 × ___

(v) 4 times 13 = ___

(vi) 10 more than 81 = ___ × ___


Answer:

2. (i) 1 more than 12 = 13 × 1

(ii) 13 times 5 = 65

(iii) 8 times 13 = 104

(iv) 1 less than 27 = 13 × 2

(v) 4 times 13 = 52

(vi) 10 more than 81 = 7 × 13


3. Using the multiplication time’s table of 13, calculate 13 times 11.

Solution:

According to the 13 times tables, 13 times 11 = 13 × 11 = 143

Therefore, 13 times 11 = 143


4. In a row there are 13 trees. How many trees will be there in 10 such rows?

Solution: 

No. of trees in 1 row = 13

No. of rows = 10

Therefore, total no. of trees in 10 rows = 13 × 10

Answer: There will be 130 trees in 10 rows.


5. There are 35 boys at the party. Each boy got 13 candies. How many candies will they get?

Solution:

No. of boys = 35

No. of candies each boy got = 13

Therefore, total no. of candies 35 boys got = 13 × 35 = 455

Answer: The boys got 455 candies.


6. Each cab is carrying 5 people. How many people will there be in 13 such cabs?

Solution:

No of people in each cab = 5

No of cabs = 13

Therefore, total no. of people in 13 cabs = 5 × 13 = 65

Answer: There will be 65 people in 13 cabs.
