Worksheet on Addition of Capacity

Practice the third grade math worksheet on addition of capacity. This sheet provides different types of questions where you need to arrange the values of capacity under different columns of litres and millilitres to find their sum and word problems on addition of length.

Solved Example:

Add 4 ℓ 210 mℓ and 3 ℓ 620 mℓ.

Solution:

          ℓ         mℓ

          4      2 1 0

     +  3      6 2 0

         7      8 3 0

Add millilitres first and then the litres.

Therefore, 4 ℓ 210 mℓ + 3 ℓ 620 mℓ = 7 ℓ 830 ℓ.

1. Add the following with conversion:

(i) 6 l 540 ml and 4 l 850 ml

(ii) 9 l 700 ml and 8 l 370 ml

(iii) 15 l 325 ml and 9 l 695 ml

(iv) 3 l 19 ml and 11 l 350 ml

(v) 2 l 600 ml and 700 ml
