Multiplied by Itself

Multiplied by itself is discussed here.

(i) When 1 is multiplied by 1 we get 1

1 x 1 = 1

(ii) When 2-digit number 11 is multiplied by itself, the middle digit in the product is 2

11 x 11 = 121

(iii) When 3-digit number 111 is multiplied by itself, the product is:

111 x 111 = 12321

(iv) When 4-digit number 1111 is multiplied by itself, the product is:

1111 x 1111 = 1234321

Similarly, we can write the product of:

(a) 11111 x 11111 = 123454321

(b) 111111 x 111111 = 12345654321

(c) 1111111 x 1111111 = 1234567654321
