A. Addition of Two 2-Digit Numbers:

1. Add 44 and 39.

Solution: 

To find the sum, we take the following steps:

Step I: Write the given numbers in column form as shown: Step II:  Add the ones: 4 ones + 9 ones = 13 ones                         = 1 ten + 3 ones Write 3 under ones column and carry over 1 to tens column.
Step III: Add the tens : 4 tens + 3 tens + 1 ten (carried over) = 8 tens 44 Write 8 under tens column.

B. Addition of Three 2-Digit Numbers:

We can add 3 numbers also by the method given above.

1. Add 13, 24 and 54.

Solution:

To find the sum, we write the numbers in column form and add columnwise.

Thus, the sum of 13, 24 and 54 is 91.
