Worksheet on Subtraction in Meters and Centimeters

Practice the questions given in the worksheet on subtraction in meters and centimeters (without regrouping and with regrouping). Subtraction in meters (m) and centimeters (cm) is done as usual as in case of ordinary numbers.

When we subtract meters (m) from meters (m) the difference is in meters (m) and when we subtract centimeters (cm) from centimeters (cm) the difference is in centimeters (cm). Here centimeters are written as two digit number.

I. Find the difference without carrying (m and cm):

(i) 5 m 36 cm - 2 m 24 cm

(ii) 9 m 98 cm - 4 m 84 cm

(iii) 7 m 57 cm - 6 m 25 cm

(iv) 30 m 60 cm – 20 m 50 cm

(v) 66 m 94 cm – 53 m 21 cm

(vi) 297 m 61 cm – 131 m 30 cm

(vii) 640 m 93 cm – 210 m 82 cm

(viii) 450 m 45 cm – 320 m 34 cm

II. Find the difference with carrying (m and cm):

(i) 8 m 93 cm – 6 m 37 cm

(ii) 5 m 20 cm – 2 m 37 cm

(iii) 6 m 60 cm – 3m 73 cm

(iv) 72 m 36 cm – 47 m 97 cm

(v) 96 m 20 cm – 68 m 85 cm

(vi) 45 m 22 cm – 27 m 47cm

(vii) 461 m 27 cm – 295 m 38 cm

(viii) 852 m 63 cm – 364 m 58 cm

(ix) 279 m 43 cm – 159 m 79 cm
