Numbers from 300 to 399

Learn the numerals of the numbers from 300 to 399.

We know the formation of numbers from 100 to 199 and 200 to 299. We also know that when 1 is added to 199 we get 200, similarly when 1 is added to 299 we get 300 (three hundred).

The numbers from 300 to 399 are formed by the same pattern as 100 to 199 and 200 to 299. We can say that the numbers from 301 to 399 are formed when one-digit numbers are added to 300 respectively.

300 + 1 = 301,     300 + 2 = 302,     300 + 3 = 303,     300 + 4 = 304, ………..., 300 + 9 = 309.

So, when we go on increasing 1 in every number after 300, we get 301, 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 309, 310, ………….., 320, 321, …………….., 330, 331, ……………., 340, 341, …………….., 350, 351, ……………., 359, 360, …………….., 370, …………….., 379, 380, 381, ………………, 390, ……………., 398, 299.

If we put 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 respectively at one’s place instead of 0 in 300, we get 301, 302, 303, 304, 305, 306, 307, 308, 309.

Now if we put two-digit numbers 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, ……………, 30, ……………, 39, 40, ……………,  50, …………….., 59, 60, ………………., 70, 71, …………….., 80, 81, ……………, 95, ……………. to 99 after 3 instead of 00 in 300, we get 310, 311, 312, ………….., 320, ……………., 330, ………………., 340, ……………, 350, …………….., 360, …………….., 370 , …………….., 380, ………………, 398, 399.

Thus, we get all the numerals from 300 to 399, which are given in the following table.

We see the following specialties in the numerals from 300 to 399:

1. The numbers from 300 to 399 have the digit 2 in their hundred’s place. We see in each column and in each row, the digit in the hundred’s place is the same i.e., 3.

2. In each column, the digit in the ten’s place is the same, i.e., 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 respectively. After every ten numbers, i.e., 300 to 309, 310 to 319, 320 to 329, 330 to 339, 340 to 349, 350 to 359, 360 to 369, 370 to 379, 380 to 389 and 390 to 399, the digit in ten’s place is changed.

3. In each column, the digits in one’s place are in ascending order from 0 to 9. Thus, each succeeding number is increased by 1.

4. In each row, each succeeding number increases by 10, i.e., 300, 310, 320, 330, 340, 350, 360, 370, 380, 390.

5. The numbers from 300 to 399 are formed by placing 00, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, 09, 11, …………….., 20, ………………, 30, ………………, 40, ………………., 50, …………….60, ………….., 70, …………….., 80, …………….., 90, ……………, 98, 99 respectively after 3. The numbers from 00, 01 to 99 are place after 3.
