Conversion of Seconds into Minutes

We will discuss here about the conversion of seconds into minutes. We know 1 second is equal to 1/60 minute, which is required to convert the measuring time from seconds to minutes.

Solved examples:

1. Convert 270 seconds into minutes

270 seconds = (270 ÷ 60) minutes (1 minutes = 60 seconds)

= 4 minutes 30 seconds

 

2. Convert 520 seconds into minutes

520 seconds = (520 ÷ 60) minutes (1 minutes = 60 seconds)

= 8 minutes 40 seconds

 

3. Convert 1111 seconds into minutes

1111 seconds = (1111 ÷ 60) minutes (1 minutes = 60 seconds)

= 18 minutes 31 seconds

 

4. Convert 1020 seconds into minutes

1020 seconds = (1020 ÷ 60) minutes (1 minutes = 60 seconds)

= 17 minutes


5. Convert 458 seconds to minutes and seconds.

60 seconds   = 1 minute

458 seconds = (458 ÷ 60) minutes

                   = 7 minutes 38 seconds.
