Conversion of Seconds into Hours

We will discuss here about the conversion of seconds into hours. We know 1 second is equal to 1/3600 hour, which is required to convert the measuring time from seconds to hours.


Solved examples:

1. Convert 4800 seconds into hours.

First, we convert seconds into minutes and then minutes into hours.

4800 seconds = (4800 ÷ 60) minutes (1 second = 1/60 minute)

= 80 minutes

= (80 ÷ 60) hours (1 minute = 1/60 hour)

= 1 hour 20 minutes

2. Convert 36000 seconds into hours.

First, we convert seconds into minutes and then minutes into hours.

4800 seconds = (36000 ÷ 60) minutes (1 second = 1/60 minute)

= 600 minutes

= (600 ÷ 60) hours (1 minute = 1/60 hour)

= 10 hours



3. Convert 7680 seconds into hours.

First, we convert seconds into minutes and then minutes into hours.

7680 seconds = (7680 ÷ 60) minutes (1 second = 1/60 minute)

= 128 minutes

= (128 ÷ 60) hours (1 minute = 1/60 hour)

= 2 hour 8 minutes



4. Convert 15360 seconds into hours.

First, we convert seconds into minutes and then minutes into hours.

15360 seconds = (15360 ÷ 60) minutes (1 second = 1/60 minute)

= 256 minutes

= (256 ÷ 60) hours (1 minute = 1/60 hour)

= 4 hour 16 minutes
