Worksheet on Multiplication of a Whole Number by a Fraction

We will practice the questions given in the worksheet on multiplication of a whole number by a fraction. We know to multiply a whole number by a fraction we multiply the top number of the fraction by the whole number and the bottom number of the fraction by 1.

I. Find the following products:

(i) 90 × \(\frac{3}{10}\)

(ii) 9 × 3\(\frac{1}{3}\)

(iii) 42 × 12\(\frac{5}{7}\)

(iv) 126 × \(\frac{1}{18}\)

(v) 32 × 3\(\frac{1}{8}\)

(vi) 67 × 3\(\frac{4}{67}\)

II. Find the value of:

(i) \(\frac{3}{4}\) of 16

(ii) \(\frac{1}{2}\) of 28

(iii) \(\frac{7}{10}\) of 30

(iv) \(\frac{5}{6}\) of 180

(v) \(\frac{2}{9}\) of 81

(vi) \(\frac{7}{13}\) of 156
