4th grade math practice 8

1. Write the equivalent fractions of: 

(a) 10/15 = ?/5 

(b) 25/50 = ?/? 

(c) 18/27 = ?/9 

(d) 16/24 = ?/? 


2. (a) Write as mixed numbers : 

10/6;      11/7;      13/9;      15/9. 


(b) Write as improper fractions: 

9³/₄;      7²/₅;       6¹/₈;        5⁴/₅.




3. Reduce to the simplest form :

⁶⁵/₉₁;     ⁵⁶/₇₈;      ⁷²/₉₀;      ⁴⁸/₆₀. 


4. Add and write the answer as a mixed number:

(i) ⁴/₉ + ⁸/₉ + ⁵/₉

(ii) ¹⁷/₂₅ + ⁵/₂₅ + ³/₂₅


5. Write as improper fraction and then subtract. Write the difference in the simplest form.

(a) 6²/₃ - 1²/₃

(b) 5⁵/₈ - 3¹/₈


6. Fill in the blanks with suitable units:

(a) My sister's weight is 38 ______________.

(b) This pencil is 20 ______________ long.

(c) This tub can hold ______________ of water.

(d) This small cube contains 20 ______________ of cheese.
